“The GRETE project, an international collaboration of experts aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the textile industry, presented their achievements to over 220 stakeholders in the cellulose value chain at the 4th Cellulose Fibres Conference in Cologne, Germany. The innovative technologies developed by GRETE respond to the increasing demand for sustainable textile fibers and aim to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry. The project has developed new technologies for wood pulp modification, cellulose dissolution, and generation of high-quality textile fibers that comply with sustainability requirements and market needs. The achieved results are expected to be exploited in the next decade and shared in the GRETE final webinar on March 29th.”
